On November 5, 2018, the European Day of the Entrepreneur was held at the House of Europe in Sofia under the slogan "Youth Entrepreneurship - Practices and Prospects". The European Day of the Entrepreneur is held every year at the beginning of November. The organizers are the Science Research Center (NIS) of Sofia University "St. Kl. Ohridski ", Ministry of Economy, Regional Information Center - Sofia and Innovation Starter.

The opening was attended by Ognian Zlatev, head of the EC Representation in Sofia, Lachezar Borisov, Deputy Minister of Economy, Assoc. Prof. Georgi Valchev, Deputy Rector of Sofia University, Heads of NIS of Sofia University, Innovation Starter and Association of Bulgarian Leaders and Entrepreneurs.

The Center for Research and Analysis was invited to present the e-learning course for entrepreneurship accessible to everyone developed under the "Success4All" project, funded by the EC under the Erasmus+ program. The presentation was included in the “Mentor programs for young entrepreneurs” panel, along with presentations by the Academy of Innovation, Innovation Starter, Junior Achievement Bulgaria, SofiaLab and others.

Prof. Albena Vutsova, PhD, Head of the CRA Management Board, summarized the aims, contents, methodology and specifics of the course, emphasizing its accessibility to young people with disabilities. The e-learning course is expected to be launched in February 2019 in English, French, Bulgarian and Latvian ​​and will be available at

The other panels treated funding ideas, including microcredits, women's business support programs, euro-funds, and the technology entrepreneurship ecosystem. Successful Bulgarian entrepreneurs presented their experiences and recommendations in “The entrepreneur in Bulgaria today” panel.
